Ingredients
1 loaf of crusty bread (sourdough or French bread), cubed and dried out
1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter
1 large onion, finely chopped
3 celery stalks, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
-
2 tbsp Perfect Turkey Seasoning
1 tsp salt (optional, depending on the seasoning blend)
-
½ tsp black pepper
2 ½ cups chicken or turkey broth
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
Optional: ½ cup dried cranberries or chopped walnuts for added flavor and texture
Directions
Prep the Bread: Cube the bread and leave it out overnight to dry, or toast it in a 300°F (150°C) oven for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Sauté Vegetables: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and celery, and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
Add Seasoning: Stir in the Perfect Turkey Seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional minute to let the flavors infuse.
Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the toasted bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, and chopped parsley.
Moisten the Stuffing: Slowly pour in the broth while gently tossing the mixture to ensure the bread absorbs the liquid. The bread should be moist but not soggy.
Add Eggs: Stir in the beaten eggs to help bind the stuffing.
Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is golden and crispy.
